マレーシアのイスラム信者の皆さん。Dear Malay muslims.
いかに自分達が恵まれているか、気づいてほしいのです。
Do you know how lucky you are?
今回のマレーシア旅行では、それはそれは沢山のモスクを訪れた。
We visited so many mosques in Malaysia.
しばしモスクのアルバムをお楽しみください。
いたるところに、礼拝施設がある。いたるところに。
Many many mosuques and musallah.
モスクやムサッラーがあることが普通。
自由に祈れることが普通。Its normal you can pray as you like.
けれど子供も、大人も、モスクから離れている、気がしたのです。
I felt many people, adults and children are separating themselves from prayer.
Joined Eid al Adha.
預言者イブラヒーム（英語ではアブラハム）の故事にちなんだ儀式で、牛や羊を屠畜して貧者やコミュニティに配る。We sacrife animals and give to the needy people.
イスラムには二つの祭がある。その一つがこれで、同時期サウジアラビアに巡礼（ハッジ）に行ける人は行っている。
その日は早朝、祭の特別礼拝がある。On the morning we have the special prayer.
けれども、子供があんまり行っていないのです。But, not many kids attend.
小さい子は、眠いので行かない。Sleepy?
大きめの子は、面倒がって行きたがらない。Tirering?
親がなだめすかすようにして、連れて行く。Not willing?
日本ではね、イードの日だけは特別。前日から親も子もそれを楽しみにしていて、気合が入っている。イード礼拝で、できるだけ前に行こうと早起きして、タクビールを唱えながら出かける。清々しい朝。You know in Japan Eid day is very special. Adults and children are waiting it from one day before. Some kids rush to the prayer to be in the first row. We say Takbir and head for the masjid. The holy morning.
イードに行きたがらないなんてあり得ない、Can't believe you don't want to go?
なんて勿体ない。How Mottainai! How you are wasting the chance!
礼拝では、イマーム（導師）が特別礼拝の手順を説明している。ここまで聞かないと、イード礼拝として無効というポイントを明確にしている。Imam explains the point for the people to complete the prayer.
するとですね、そのポイントを終えた時点で、まあ見事に大人と子供が去ってしまうのです。そのあとまだまだ素晴らしいズィクル（唱念）やドア（祈願）が続くのに。。。残っているのは、老人のみ。Then, most people leave once they reach the point. But beautiful Zikr and Dua is still continuing...And only old people are left.
その日は、みんな新調した服を着ている。
On the day everybody is wearing new clothes.
でも、それだけ？But only that?
新調した服を着せられている子供達が、家でテレビ見てる。ゲームしてる。
Kids in new clothes are watching TV and playing game at home.
そうだよね、ゲームの世界の方がはるかに豊かで、クリエイティブで、遠くへ行ける。
Sure, game gives you the wider and more creative world.
でも、心は？ What about your heart?
心を満たす練習を、経験をしておいたほうがいいと思うのです。
You should practice to fill your heart regularly. should experience it.
心が満たされずに、破滅していく大人がいっぱいいるんだよ。何でも持っている、どこでも行ける、友達も家族もいる。けれど、それだけじゃ心は満たされないんだよ。
There are many adults who destroy themselves because the heart is not filled. They have everything, can go everywhere, have friends and family. But its not enough to fill the heart.
どうか、誰か、この子たちに伝えてあげてほしい。この子たちの親に伝えてほしい。
Please anyone, tell the kids about this, to the parents.
モスクやムサッラーがどこにでもあること、自由に祈れること、イードに参加できることが普通ではないことを。実はすごくすごく恵まれていることを。
Tell them its not normal there are mosques and musallah everywhere and they can pray any time. Tell them its not normal they can freely join Eid. Please tell them they are actually very blessed.
